About Us

Arts for Relief is a student-run online project that combines the creative arts and mental health.

Research has proven that music, drawing, dancing, and artistic engagement help alleviate stress, depression, and anxiety. They also help to boost confidence and make us feel more resilient and productive as we express our thoughts and emotions through the arts.

Taking these conclusions into account, Arts for Relief was created to foster a community of artists and viewers who are all interested in creative expression, raising awareness, and donating to funds for mental health. To achieve this, participants are encouraged to sign up to showcase their artistic skills/talents so that donors may request certain content from certain participants.

In addition to creating art and donating, Arts for Relief also seeks to contribute to the fight against mental health stigma by providing helpful articles and resources regarding mental health. By understanding the experiences of those suffering from mental illnesses and/or disorders, we may move forward in our mission to eliminate the stigma.

We are constantly looking for individuals interested in learning more about mental health and ways to help others. Click here to join our team of writers, bloggers, editors, researchers, and graphic designers.
